Ralph Nyadu-Addo, PhD, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Publishing Studies, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, has been awarded the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany.
This is the highest federal honour of Germany. It is in recognition of his outstanding contributions to German-Ghanaian academic and socio-economic cooperation.
For more than two decades, Dr. Nyadu-Addo has been a driving force in promoting academic exchange and collaboration between KNUST and several German universities and institutions, including the University of Leipzig, University of Wuppertal, Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD),
His visionary leadership has fostered long-term partnerships, research networks, and innovation-led initiatives that continue to impact higher education and entrepreneurship development across Africa.
He is currently one of the project coordinator of the African Centre for Career Enhancement and Skills Support (ACCESS); a DAAD-funded project under the "Universitiy-Business Partnership Programme".
The project is currently hosting a 'Trainer of trainers' workshop in Kumasi. The ACCESS project continues to serve as a model for meaningful academic collaboration and capacity building between Africa and Germany.
The German government’s recognition of Dr. Nyadu-Addo reflects his exceptional dedication to international cooperation, innovation, and academic diplomacy.
