This Alumni event brought together 25 DAAD Alumni from different parts of West Africa to receive a 3-day training on topics related to peace and conflict management under the sponsorship of DAAD. Participants learnt the art and science of mediation, causes, types and effects of conflicts and their management strategies.
Network of Excellence on Land Governance in Africa (NELGA) is a partnership of African universities and research institutions with proven leadership in education, training and research on land governance. Currently, NELGA has more than 70 partner institutions across Africa.
MIASA supports these projects via different kinds of fellowships: individual fellowships, tandem fellowships with one tandem partner from Germany and the other from Africa, and fellowships as members of Interdisciplinary Fellow Groups (IFG).
The Ghana-NRW University Alliance Office was opened at the Goethe Institut premises here in Accra on Tuesday 18th July, 2023. In her opening remarks, Dr. Susanne Preuschoff (Director of International Affairs, University of Cologne), mentioned that the office was established in less than one year. She added that the China NRW University Alliance served as an example to build on.
This year, the DAAD PhD Proposal Writing Workshop was held in Tamale (26th and 27th July).
Participants at the workshop were coached by seasoned researchers and other DAAD and Germany alumni who have successfully completed their research stays in Germany.
